About the Course
Treating a burned hand can be intimidating, especially when the hand has many problems such as limitations and deformities.
Where do we start?
What should we be examining?
What if we don't notice a problem?
There are many tests and assessment tools that can be used to assess range of motion, sensation, dexterity, and functions of the hand, but before using any of them, it is important to first learn how to do basic observation and physical examination of the burned hand, as this is the first step in identifying the problems and their cause.
This course will present how to carry out a thorough, well-structured and logical evaluation of the hand in order to develop a rehabilitation plan that efficiently addresses the patient's problems.

Approval criteria:
Completion of all course elements within the allotted time period.
Completion of the practical exercise.
The participant will need to complete all learning activities before the end of the training, after that date the participant will no longer have access to the course content and the learning record will be marked as "incomplete".
Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a certificate of completion.
This course is for
Physical therapists and occupational therapists.
Priority is given to therapists who work directly and regularly with burn patients (either in-patient or out-patient) and have at least 3 years of experience working in burns.
