Prerequisite: None.

This course equips burn care professionals with the knowledge and strategies to address the psychosocial challenges that impact patient rehabilitation. Learn how to identify emotional responses and coping mechanisms in patients and caregivers, and develop empathetic approaches that foster motivation, independence, and positive recovery outcomes.

This introduction course will help burn professionals understand the concept of body image and its implications on the psychological and emotional well-being of burn patients during their recovery.

Pre-requisite: Completion of Rehabilitation of the Burned Shoulder: Introduction and Basic Concepts is highly recommended.

This course will present methods to evaluate the burned shoulder, as well as discuss the various rehabilitation interventions (exercises, positioning, pressure therapy, ADL training, etc.), to allow therapists to evaluate and treat shoulder problems after burns more accurately.

Pre-requisite: Successful completion of the course Rehabilitación de la Mano Quemada - Estrategias de Intervenciones

This course provides burn rehabilitation professionals with advanced skills in designing and fabricating custom splints to prevent and correct contractures and restore hand function. Learn to integrate mechanical principles with the unique physiological challenges of burn injuries, and master patient-centered strategies for effective splinting across all phases of recovery.
